Good article, but it is important to understand that followers take their cues from leaders in their Church. Followers will only sacrifice for the vision if leaders will, as well. A bold vision to help the neighboring poor must include sacrifice being modeled by the leadership who are desirous to see the Kingdom advances in this way. In other words, don't expect followers to radically sacrifice for the poor if leadership is not willing to model in their own lives what is being communicated as the vision. You can't expect followers to move out of their comfort zone if leadership is not willing to leave their gated communities.
